In the video installation, a visual friction surface is created through various situationally joined picture elements that are shaped by the forms of a post-apocalyptic landscape. The images are determined by the process of raw material extraction. Technology and ideology go hand in hand here and leave their mark. Militarily and economically oriented efforts to secure power are inscribed in this landscape. The extraction of raw materials and the utilization of nature show their planned economy and geopolitical consequences in a region of Russia, the character of which goes back to the time of the USSR.
